HISTORY
The former Trelles Clinic, now the Ybor Resort and Spa, is housed in a 1904 building. Witnesses say the many ghostly phenomena here include a child that tugs on people’s clothing, unexplained slamming windows, and an apparition of Conchita, a deceased wife of a doctor. TV’s Ghost Hunters featured the site on one of their episodes, and their equipment picked up a voice saying “Juan.” As it turns out, Juan was the name of a boy who died at the clinic.
RUMORS
We were approached by the owners before they turned this into a spa in 2010. They claimed they saw a ghostly apparition of a woman., heard voices, shadow people and moving objects.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS
When we first entereed this place, it was dark and abandoned. The owners of Ybor Resort & Spa had not begun the renovations of this location. It was as it once was, a deshabbled clinic full of dark energy, tragedy and wandering spirits. The location was in shambled, deteoriating from the inside out. Story has it that the clinic run by a husband and wife. He was practicing with no license and a young girl died in there from a botched abortion. I wonder how many people has died within that facility. We told the new owners that it would indeed remain haunted, the locations is now closed for good.
THE CONCLUSION
That evening we had experienced many personal experiences and a few EVPS. A woman was seen in the rear of the location, she was a very angered soul. Feelings of a heavy chest would be experienced within along with cold spots. This was a location with a great deal of dark history, and tragedy, where greed had negatively affected many lives. Shutting down the clinic was the best thing the city could have done, opening a spa at this location surely was not.
Unfortunately evidence and photos of this location was lost in a severe hard drive crash. I wanted to give this a higher rating, but with lack of evidence to show I cannot.
